“Three Woods” Competition

August 2017

Wight Woodturners third Competition of the year was to turn an item incorporating three or more different woods. Where woods of different colours are glued together and then turned this is traditionally called “Polychromatic” turning. However, our members were given a free hand, so the wood did not have to be glued, it did not have to be segmented and it could be of any size. Once again our members demonstrated their originality with an excellent display of work.
